...two more of those retarded tiny caches with the white tape.

I'll scan the button or try to get a super close up with the camera, but it says WATERBURY CO. CONN on the back.

Hey, Ridley—

It's a band musician's uniform button— a stock (generic) pattern that has been around for 'way over a century and is still being made today. Here's one of the current Waterbury varieties:

Rid- Great find!

Check this ring out....I found this last summer at a playground. Looks almost the same, other than the color of the stone. Awesome finds!!

Does yours say STERLING WA inside too? If it does it should say it on the back of the setting as well. I didn't notice it until you posted your ring.

The ring does look like an older one.....at least 50 years old.

Rid- Mine says the same thing as yours. Looks like a match, only different stones. Mine was found at a local grade school. It was about 4" deep and rang up as dime/penny. Not sure the age, but the school was built in the 50's.

Let me know if you find anything more out about it.
