Old button ?

Hello Tnet found this button a field with some old history (coins from the late 17th century)
i think its a late medieval button because of the shank. Because of the typical hole that is punched in the metal.
Anybody an idea ?

Not familiar with this exact type but many just tip into the 1600s. (1690s)
