Old coin ID

Can anybody help ID this ? Any thoughts on its age? I believe it is not from the US seeing that it came in a pile of foreign coins(various countries).

It looks like an Ethiopian bronze 25 cent . Haile Salassie on front and the Lion Of Judah on the back .
possibly 1936 .

It certainly looks like an Ethiopian coin of Haile Selassie, c. 1936. However, without any indication of actual size or clear legends/inscriptions, I'm not sure about the denomination, as all of the coins in this series bear the same designs.

I'm showing a date of 1944 on this one for the bronze 1,5 or 10 the 25 was scalloped to the inside rim

The earlier 25¢ was not scalloped, however. According to the 2007 Standard Catalog of World Coins, the plain variety was withdrawn in 1952 and replaced by the scalloped one.

wow what great hasty responses! ya'll are amazing! Thank you for your help. I dont have my scale here so I cant weigh it but I will later. I just came across a bunch of old coins and bills!!! I will be posting more soon.
