🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Old coin

I’m cataloging my family’s coin collection from my dad’s side. I can’t find any info in my usual sources. Any ideas what this is? Thank you for your consideration.

I don't know much about ancient coins (other than there are lots of fakes out there), but it looks like a Greek Silver Tetradrachm. Someone on here will chime in and tell you exactly what it is.

It resembles a Greek 'Owl' tetradrachm, but I suspect it's not authentic. Usually they have the letters AΘE for Athens to the right of the owl which is usually within a squared-off border, but I don't see them on yours (enhanced below) although there do appear to be some letters. I think it's a decorative modern 'replica', styled on a tetradrachm.



There are numerous variations but this one is fairly typical and from circa 440-404 BC.

Alexander coins can be found polished. They aren’t expensive, but most folks think they are so people do a lot of things with them.
