Found these two coins yesterday. A liberty one cent 1810 and a smashed Indian head cent.. Not shore of the date.

Go to a shoe store or could be Walmart and get a brass brush with a wood handle for swede shoes or swede leather , it works great for brushing coins fresh out of the dirt , leaves no scratches on your coins,easy to see date on some. HAPPY HUNTING P.S. I usually bring one with me to do just that.

try a small brass shoe brush to clean it off, does not scratch.
