Did a 3 days on the East Fl coast. Been some time since I’d hunted over there. Love the coarse sand....as did my MDT 8000. Lot of beach when that tide goes out and it would take me more time than I had to learn how to hunt it properly....as well as location. Not many targets and of course there was a storm which kept out of the water....and made the tide higher. When I got home I went through the finds and found one black very crusted coin that at first I thought was a Zink. The more I cleaned the more I was impressed....it’s wasn’t a Zink. Turned out to be a Spanish Ferdinand II...about late 1400s. Now that’s old for the good ole USA.

I don’t care who you are, that’s cool

Amazing find, and well preserved! Keep hunting, if theres one theres likely a lot more. Plenty of shipwreck treasures out there.

It was a 3 day vacation trip. I passed along the info to someone who hunts the area. Think about it........Columbus discovered North America in 1492......over 500 years ago.

Very cool Dew...If that coin could talk!!

Outstanding find, congrats! :occasion14:
