Will be cleaning and examining it more, sometimes
this winter. Homemade frame. Who know what that
wooden back holds. Never know what you may find.
Always a chance.

Good Lord don't clean it. It is worth a fortune. One was on Antique Road show. Lucky you!!! :D

Allways wanted some one to tell me that about something I had. Wish I could say it was true about yours. I just don't know sorry. :icon_scratch:

Hope you do find it to be a great country print Sherm.

The print is called "The Madonna of the Holy Heart"...as far as the frame, I don't know...

oldgoat,
thanks.

how do you know that?

Been doing a search on, "Madonna of the Holy Heart"

Google Image Search.
Not easy; Virgin Mary, Madonna Hard Candy :o, Virgin Mary, Madonna
and Alex Rodriguez :o ::),

Cannot find it. :-\

Any idea who the artist would be?
Anywhere I can go on web for a photo?

Again, thanks for your help.

have a good un..........

"Immaculate Heart of Mary" brings up examples much closer to Sherm`s example.

Looked through 58 pages via google, many are close, none exact, which I expected.

You may never find out the original artist but should you remove the print for cleaning
or inspection, you may find the name of the print company along the bottom of the print.

Nice piece,

just be very careful when you take the frame off.. when I was a kid, my grandpa
bought an old picture for two bucks at a tag sale... it had an very old
flag between the picture and the back of the frame!!

The frame appears to be what is or was called ,tramp art . sometimes swapped for food or lodging. Bob

titanicgirl,

should be interesting when I take off the back. :o
Never know what is behind that solid piece of wood. ;D
Holding off for a bit, until I learn more about the piece.
Thanks.

lonesomebob,
thank you for the info. Frame is interesting; did not
know it was called tramp art; frame may have some value,
but I collect; things become part of me. ;D so very hard to sell

all have a good un..........
