Had the mding itch today, and here in the NW it seems to be always raining. But Dan and I went out anyhow.
We hit a vacant lot where a house had burned down, we have been getting coins from that range from the late 1800 to the early 1960.
After digging some square nails I got a good signal and about 6" down this ring was just at the bottom of my plug. It seems to be
copper with silver plating. I went to show Dan my find and realized that it once had a stone, so I went back to the plug,
and there was the stone, not sure what it is, but it was very clean after just brushing the dirt off.
The only other interesting find today was Dan's 1958D wheat penny.
Thanks for looking,
