Hunting property of an old farm house in Buckner Missouri tonight. Pulled a 1894 quarter dollar out of a hole about 4" deep.

HOLY COW THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. Did you chemically clean it at all, or is that just simple water and brush?

Ahh haa theres a miss strike. Can you guys guess were?

P.S. its on the back of the coin.

A beautiful coin.....congrats! I'm sure you will return there!

Nice silver there. That one is in great condition also. Lots of detail left on it. Looks like it got hit across the back though.

HH,

Dave

Well it seems most people are blind, its the O mint mark its missed placed.

So does this O mint mark being misplaced make this coin any more valuable?

In the photo, mine is on the left and one I found on the web is on the right.

Great find! Very nice looking coin.
As far as the mint mark, that's the first time I've ever seen any that offset.
It may add some value or may be considered a variety. Don't really know.
Happy hunting!

John

Never seen a misaligned mint mark before on a Barber, is that a scratch on the shield, right side, or another error as well?
