Old Game Piece ?????

Kinda looks like a pawn from a very old chess set... looks like pewter.

But no idea really...found adjacent to a 1600s site.

Any help would be appreciated

Might be, it does kinda look like a bishop. Might also be a stamp of some kind.

That is a good possibility.....sure they come in all shapes/sizes and materials.
