actually I found this coin 3 days ago but nothing seemed to work except for a Läufer Glasfiber eraser pen
läufer 1021 - Bing images
I used up a whole fibre insert but finally I can see at least a little something but still don't know what this coin is exactly. I'd be happy if you could help! It could be a 3 Pfennige 1850-1870 ?

I'm assuming this is a copper coin? There are so many different German States back then and each had their own coins. It might be a 3 Heller from the Hesse-Cassel state around the same years too. What is the diameter?

With the crowned crest you're Prussian. Now it depends on size and weight. Weight for a 120 einen Thaler/3Pfennig should be less then 4,5 Grams in that condition with a diameter of 23 mm.

That's a cool find might be better not to get an ID. Nice job cleaning it up

The Heller is 23mm too.

But i still think the Hessen Kassel crest is too small. I stay with Pfennig.

the diameter is 21.5 mm

Nice! Pre-unification 19th century German coins are fun to collect, so much diversity!
