Stopped off at my favorite grove site on the way home from work. First ten minutes in and I find a 193? Buffalo just under the surface. Just a couple feet away a pocket knife that looks like it has gold plating.

Took me about an hour of digging pull tabs nails and foil before I got a solid 83. Dug the plug and flipped out a 1944 Merc. The very next hole was a 1944 War Nickel. "Shhhhh, Don't tell Old Dude" :laughing7:

Seemed like a thousand pull tabs later before I scored my next silver. A 1950 Rosie. Then I hit an area where one wheat after another kept chiming in. 7 in total.

Also found an aluminum religious pendant and an aluminum Bankers trust company token. Finally on the way out, as usual. I dug another 1944 Merc.

It is an incredible place. You experienced how much work you have to put in to get something out of that place.

Freakin awesome site!, it's far from done yet!
I had a feeling that triangle was a token

It's your turn to get back up there and dig a couple shiners. The only problem is the darn war nickels keep getting in the way. :laughing7:

I think I'd like to run my sniper coil over that place, slow but effective

the only way to hunt that place. Slow with a ton of patience.

Virgin ground for sure. Awesome finds!

Thanks. How I wish it were virgin ground. Been hunting this spot for 4 seasons. It has been detected by 9 people, and the amount of silver it has produced is unbelievable. Unfortunately it may be coming to an end.

Congrats on a really nice hunt. Poor OD...

GL&HH.

What a hunt! Congrats on the handful of scores. Sub 8-)

Good "Coin-Shooting !! " there :occasion14: Should say "Token-Shooting !!" also 8-) :treasurechest:

There's an old picnic grove in my area where I actually went to myself as a very young kid in the mid sixties. It's on my list to hunt.

The real problem is there is 40 years of growth. It'll take some doin' and lots of patience but my gut's tellin' me it will be worth it.
