Can anyone shed light on this?I found this and threw it into my junk bucket after a hunt sometime last summer.Bored one day,I scratched at it and saw brass. It was folded up and looked like just a piece of metal,so I cleaned it up and saw the square with glass under it,then saw a hinge. That`s when things got ugly.I have little patience,so I pried things apart and broke it.What you see here is brass, glass, and some kind of rubber? used to hold the convex glass in place.
thanks for all help!

It is stuff like this that keeps me coming back to this site. Well done and thanks for teaching me something new.

While we're on the subject. This little beauty fell out of a Christmas cracker some years ago and I've put it to good use ever since.

It's a little treasure in itself.
Cheers, Mike
