Knight Head?

My father found this about 25yrs ago with his white`s coinmaster
Any ideas as to origin or value?
It has a fine thread bolt,lock washer,and flat washer screwed in bottom.
material is steel with old chrome on head(of knight)

Looks like a hood ornament or radiator cap for an old Willys Knight. Can't remember the model years they were on.

WOW great find ...may fetch quite a nice amount from car collectors as the willys knights are quite sought after. dave

Well, well! I was scanning the posts here, & "Lo, & Behold" :o I run across this knights helmet. I now know what mine is from! I uncovered it on a ranch just north of Santa Barbara, back in the latter 70's or early 80's. I have shown it to folks for years, & not once received a proper ID. Your Knight helmet appears in much better condition than mine. The thread incidently, is 1/4 X 20. I'll post a pic just as soon as possible.(next few days) Thanks for solving this for me, also.

More info; If you "google" Willys Knight Overland Registry, you will find a pristine photo of your/my "model 67" Willys Knight radiator cap in the very top line of photos.
