Old gunpowder can cap

Found this little guy in my sifter last time out. It makes sense seeing how many pistol balls and percussion cap have been found here. It was a local hangout in the 1840-1860 period. Lots of pipe stems here too. E.I.Dupont &co.probably an earlier cap...hopefully more to come from there.thanks for lookin vn.

Thats a cool find havent seen one posted before looks to be in decent condition also. Gotta be alot of fun hunting an old spot like that not knowing if the next signal is a old gun or a gold coin.....Good job.....Tommy

Thanks Tommy, I am still waiting on my gold coin and the only guns I find are caps. I won't give up fer sure

Don’t clean it up anymore...that one it pretty readable.
