What looks like a hammer is rerod, used to bind and strengthen poured concrete. The other object is a wedge lock that holds the concrete forms together. HH

I think someone made a hammer out of the rerod, A.K.A. rebar, for what purpose you may ask, because they needed a hammer for driving stakes, etc. and didn't have one but had a welder.

Apparently there was some foundation/concrete work done in the area.

100% Worked in a concrete plant yrs. back wedge lock, and thats what you got for a hammer when you lost yours... did a number on your hands if you forgot gloves =ED
