Found this in a field around 8" down. Looks like an old tool like a sickle but sickle's are normally curved.

I have seen swords like this also. It is tapered on one end to go into a handle of some kind and then curved on the edge. Can someone I.D this?

Nice find Rip_Uk. It looks like a Rail Spike.

All kidding aside - any find is a good find - you saved it from going away forever.

Keep it,Cool find. But don't tell my wife where you found it.We were searching a 1890s narrow gage track and on the way out she kept falling behind.Going up a steep hill i had to push her up it.I couldn't figure out why she was having so much trouble till we got to the top.The back pack she was carrying was full of old rail road spikes.About 50 LB. worth. So if it is just ONE keep it lol...Osage
