🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Old knife blade ??

Okay forum. I have had this knife for a while. It had a wood grip with steel pins. I dropped it last week and the grips broke off into several pieces. I decided to buff the surface rust to see if there were and makers marks. There are several pin holes in it. You think it was re gripped at another time? It also has a crack. What do you think is going on here?

Looks like an old Russell Skinner knife.

From the pits, it looks like it was in the ground for a long time and was then restored. The crack suggests it was used for prying at one point.
