Well, we all know that it is a padlock. The key enters from the bottom. The lock body is made of brass.
I'm just wondering if anyone can put an accurate date on it.

Any additional pics?

Old warded Slaymaker lock. Careful cleaning on top of hasp should show SB & Co. and a couple patent dates. '92 and '94 if I remember right. Still made for a while after that of course.

slay makers were easy to pick and if you had a key you could easily find other locks that your key would fit, at least that was my case in the 70's

Excellent job Mojjax! Only thing I can add is $19 - $22 out here.

They are really easy to open. Take the blank and cut away everything except the blades on the tip, and you have a master key. Super easy to impression a new blank too! If you can find a blank you can file the wards so it works. Then put it in some damp coffee grounds for 3 or 4 days. Now you have a lock with a working key & your value goes up!
