I had another wonderful holiday day off and being the new year and all I decided to comb through my finds from last year. I took a sizeable number of coins to the Coinstar machine (!) and revisited all the wonderful things I'd freed from the earth in 2006. I came across a metal button that I never tried to ID before. I know nada about buttons; maybe one of you can be of help?
It's about the size of a nickle,
It has a sort of bronze color under the dirt patina,
There's still a piece of thread attached, so I'm not sure how old it could be,
I found it in an old park and something tells me I should make at least an attempt at identifying it before I put in a box out of sight and out of mind.
Any info you can offer would be most appreciated.
