Old milk lid ?

Is this a cap off of a old milk bottle, kind of like the old mason jars. it a little larger than a half dollar and made of lead.

This stopper/cap must date back to one of the original bottles 1887-1900. Pretty cool recovery and the first one I've seen posted up, congrats.
