Buda engine co. from Chicago. I found it embedded in a road in an old mining town in the high plains of wyoming. The base is bent like it was run over by heavy equipment. Looks like it could be an old kind of jack of some kind but website said Buda made railroad equipment etc. there was a railway through this mine area. This may be a switch mechanism part ? Thanks for looking ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429419869.072159.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429419881.920784.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429419891.588181.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429419907.406274.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429419918.590333.webp

It looks to be what's left of an antique farm jack? HH

Could be the jack was last used to lift something heavy in the road and in the process that part got driven down in the ground from all the weight and was lost. Don't know how many wood blocks I have buried trying to jack up heavier stuff in soft ground.

I sent an email with these pics to the company. I hope to get a response.
