Old nursing home - worth a look?

Has anyone searched the grounds of a nursing home? I know of an old small nursing home near where I live. It is fenced off and locked. It looks like it has been closed for awhile. Is this something worth looking into? ie. finding who the current owner is, getting permission, etc. What could someone expect to find? Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The real question is, what can you expect to find anywhere ?
The truth is, you really don't know what might or might not be in the ground around
that building, what it was used for originally or what might be in the ground.
That is why we do what we do, because of the adventure of it all....
and the desire to discover what has been covered for who knows how long....
