Found at an old house place about 8" deep. I don't recognize it as modern but it doesn't have that old look to it. I just don't know what it is. 9 1/2" X 7". No numbers stamped anywhere on it.

I'll take a stab knowing 0 about car parts...lol

It seems rather small at 9 1/2" X 7, when I look at the 3rd image and see where a rod went in.
Also, the hole at the top (welded on) left of the image (3) seems to be in an anchor or in a pull position.
Look at other possibilities like small engine/motor farm equipment?

Thanks, Alchemy. If you look inside the first image you see a square nut...That is what holds the "anchor" on (not welded).
It seems there should be one just like it on the other side. The holes seem to be the same. Farm machinery may be the way to go.
