Took a Vacation Day today and got Permission to hunt the Old Picnic Grove again..
I have hunted this Grove back in 1987 and 1988 many of times and always had good finds..
This is my 4th time this year and the grove is still producing the finds.
I have never walked out of there without silver or wheaties.
There is 3 1/2 acres to hunt and I don't think I have covered 1/2 of that... so far

Got a FIRST for me ever ... A 1912 V Nickel ( it may have a D but the back is pretty bad )

The Grove also gave me a 1898 I H ,1956 Quarter, 21 Wheaties , Broken Silver Ring, A Token with a 5 on it from
A. Amundsen Billard and Pool, Polish American Foundation 25 cents Token, 1958 Nickel
and $2.51.
Also a lot of junk..........I'm TIRED after 4 1/2 hours...

In all it was a Great Day !!!!!!!!!!!!

As far as I know I've been the only one to ever hunt this grove. It's all Private Property I don't hunt it much cause the caretaker doesn't like people on the property unless it's a Party or picnic..

Thanks for the replies ALL.

WTG, Bob!! ;D

WoW Bob! What a great vacation day you had! Awesome finds!

Congrats! Nana :)

Really nice digs, cool tokens, nice to see the big pile of trash too, sometimes it seems like everyone else is just digging coins and jewlery and Im the only one that thinks a soda cap sounds just like a coin HH

WOW ~ nice finds dude! And, I like seeing other's dig a lot of trash too! Sometimes I dig what I'm expecting to be "trash", but it's a TREASURE! I have a hard time NOT digging signals even if I'm pretty sure it's junk. If it makes my XTL sound off, good chance I'll dig it!
