old pipe-Arabian Guy?

I got this at a barn sale, couple weeks ago. Any idea how old ,or what it's made of , or any other info ? I paid $5 . It has no markings .
Too bad it has the chunk missing (that's why it was cheap) .... I kinda like it though !

turkish made most likely ( they make lots of those style of pipes there) -- nice meerschaum pipe (corrected my spelling)
