Old pocket knife with shield dug today....possible to date??

Found in peices today...4" down... Near battle site but battle was in 1813

It looks similar to a Remington. You might do a search on them and come up with an ID. Is it a wood handle or some type of composite?

Looks similar to the knife I found earlier this week with a few other things. Probably a Remington circa 1920-1940.
