Found a small pocket knife that says Meinecke & Co New York. Does anyone know the year?

Very cool, thank you! I found the matching pocket knife on google images but I couldn't find the date. I wonder what else is out here!? I need to get a better metal detector.

I love finding pocket knives, whether they open or not. That's history right there. Good job!

I don't have a date range, but agree with U.B.: old pocket knives are always interesting. And I've even found them areas where the age-cutoff is distinctly 1840s/50s. Yours looks to be 1910/20s, because of the imprinted wording on there. JMHO.

That makes sense. I found a glass mason jar lid that says Atlas EDJ Seal and I think it was 1910.

My Snapshot_448.webpMy Snapshot_450.webpmeinecke & co sold druggist sundries and glassware around the time period that scubadector stated I bought the medical shot glass pictured at the local salvation army for 29 centa it is embossed with Meinecke & CoNew York on the bottom i'm thinking the knife was a give away ad piece for them
