old pocket knife.

I dug this old pocket knife at an 1800's home site which has been continuously occupied since at least 1870. Does anyone know the maker or from what time period it may be? Sorry for the lack of more pictures. The handle is wood and completely missing on the other side although i did find a piece of it in the hole.

found many this style none have any wood left just brass and rusted metal , not sure but i dont think its that old to still have the wood in that condition
