I saw this old ruin on rt 44 near colomsville pa and am hoping some one might know what it is . I thought maybe an old kiln but am not sure. there is another one down the road a short ways that looks simular. there is also a couple old mills near there and other sites. Ok I thank all for the answers it is an old lime kiln I guess there is 2 of them om rt 44 just out side collomsville. thanks all.

Reminds me of a coke oven.

The way it goes up it looks like a barn was there before and those ovens were inside.

Lived in the area up til 2003.. that is a lime stone kiln there is also one on the road from Williamsport to Montoursville (ie) The Golden Strip that was preserved when the new road way was built.
