I spoke with my uncle today and he told me that there use to be an old school house on his property, back in his woods. The school house is long gone and he found out about it from an old black man around 90 years old. My uncle does not metal detect, but he did find an old cast iron bench that was buried in the ground. The old man told him that the bench was used when the school was in operation. Apparently, the school was there during the early 1900's. My uncle told me that I can come by whenever I want to and metal detect, so I am taking him up on that offer. I am going over there either Sunday or Friday and hopefully I will find something!!
