Old scroll flask

All I know is that I have seen them at bottle shows and I think they're very pretty and cost a pretty penny so I'll defer this question to the experts.

It looks good just from the pictures you included. Get a picture of the side of the bottle and get one of the bottom of the bottle at a 45 degree angle about a foot away. Does the bottom of the bottle look like it has about 150 years of wear?

Is there a seam on the side that goes all the way up to the lip? Are there any letters/numbers anywhere on the bottle

I love scroll flasks. I have a bunch in my cabinet right in front of me... Looks like a small lip chip which sucks. But they are usually priced between 80(lowest i got one for) and being aqua color about 140 bucks. Now if this was green or brown or citron color etc, you would be talking hundreds and even thousands.
It has a super nice iron/graphite pontil and i can see some decent wear on the edges from it sitting on a shelf or in a cabinet somewhere...
It looks smaller in size, nut how tall is it? There are half pints, pints and quarts. Around me, it seems the quarts are more common than the half pints, and they sell for the same money typically... The lips chip keep prices down especially since the aquas are pretty common for scroll flasks...
Where did you come up with this one? Im hoping you tell me in a wall or in a rafter up in an attic!!!! Or even at a salvation army type store for just a couple bucks!!!

I am going to switch to my phone and try to get a picture of one of each size... This iPad isnt exactly a great camera... No flashes or nothing... Bah!!

Try to get one of the bottom at a 45 degree angle where you can see any wear

So... this is also my first attempt attaching a picture, and also from the App... let's hope for the best. Haha

Perfect... Looks good i think. And obviously, from left to right, half pint, pint and then the Quart

It's 17cm I paid 1 dollar for it

Ahh... Forgot to say that yours is a sheared lip. In my picture is an applied lip, and a sheared lip, i also have a rolled lip...

Oops... I think that is sideways. But this one has the outward rolled lip

Ive dreamed of finding an old bottle for a steal like that. I hear of it happening many times in the past... Great pick up!!!!:notworthy::headbang::occasion14:

It is green isn't it?

.......

Nice bottles padirtdigger

So... this keeps crashing and I can't add a pic of a green washington/Taylor flask. But the color aqua (at least in old glass specs...) has variations with blue and green... it can vary like an icy blue to a slightly ocean green color....

So... Gonna edit this one too, the pics did load!!! Ha... Well, thats my best flask i have dug, and its GREEN... The scrolls that i have i did not dig. 3 of them are out of houses and the rest i didnt get full background stories about...

What a steal at that price. I can't keep bottles because I have butter fingers and break things easy.
