Finally was able to get out and do some " Normal" hunting with a buddy of mine out west...Pulled up to some lots that seemed promising. within the first 10 mins he was on a good Wheat spill...not a few mins later out popped this beauty.

1918 - D Merc Dime. First silver coin I found this year..which is still hard to think about.

it was pretty toasted when I found it...ive slowly been able to clean it up to see some detail.

Nice one! [emoji106]

Nice finds. Out west?

Beautiful coin find! :occasion14:

Nice find! To think that that dime likely was in that spot for close to 100 years boggles the mind. The Mercury dime is one of my favorite coins, and I am still waiting to find one. Looks like you did a good job cleaning the ol' girl up. Congrats!

Congrats :occasion14: Pulling a silver still makes me smile, I hope you smiled when you first knew what was in the hole.

That's an old merc. I found one that looked pretty tarnished like that today. Congrats!

Nice going on the Merc. just about a 100 yrs old now.

Congrats on pulling that old Merc out of its dirt grave.
