Need your input . I'm thinking of taking my old jobe 36 yellow jacket and putting a highbanker dredge hopper on it for a 2.5 inch dredge. I'm thinking about getting one of those dry land dredge nozzles for it too. Do you think it will work and if so what size pump might work with it. Thanks for you help

yes itll work! and most trash pumps should power it and the dredge nozzel that Chuck Lassiter makes.Chucks website( www.midwestprospector.com ) explains what flow that nozzel needs.

I have that setup here it is running a 2.5 suction nozzle on homemade floats. It's running a 2.5 hp trash pump.

One of the reason I asked was because it only 36 inches long I didn't know if the length of it might interfere with the fine gold recovery

They will blow out the very fine gold. I have caught 200- with mine but I know it blew most of it out the end. I have ordered a 4 ft extension for mine that has beach mat in it for the fines. Where I highbank in Texas it is all under 50- Slow the water down and don't over feed it and see what it does.
