Old Spot New Finds

New to this forum but have been metal detecting for a few years now. Visited a site recently that I have been to many times but decided to explore a new area. This was right after a snow storm with about 6" of snow and with about 15 minutes of light left. First find was a Massachusetts State Copper (1788) and was the only hole I dug that day. Went back the next day and was able to save the rest of these items all located within about 50ft from each other. I have been mostly using a 6" coil this past year but with snow had set up an 11" which I am learning to appreciate again.

So I returned for another quick round despite there still being a few inches of snow on the ground. The copper found this time I identified as a Draped Bust. I made my way to another area past a stream after searching over the section where the other finds came from. Both areas appear to have been worked (as evident from Lidar) but the area on the opposite side is not quite as flat and seems to have a strong hunting presence. It's hard not to dig all repeatable signals after finding great things so I spent most of my time digging bullet/shotgun shells and lead. Looks like one of the hunters may have dropped the Standing liberty quarter (1918) and Wheat Penny (1917) in that area, though. Found as a spill.

Nice digs! That MA copper is in great shape.

Thanks! It was found in a high spot where the ground was slightly more sandy. Some areas were so wet that the holes would fill with water moments after digging them.
