It is early 1970's Does not look toasted. Is it still ticking? is a fair question. Is it running or toast? These actually have some value unlike other Slimexes

I can adjust the time....and it feels like it winds. Has ticked 4 seconds so far...

So, it's full of condensation? I'd take the back off and let the inside dry out.

Got it in a bag of rice, if that doesn’t help, i will take the back off.....if i can.

some of the better watches screw off. timex usually had a pry off. have to work a knife edge around it....

If you look at the back - with the word TIMEX upright there should be a little "lip" on the bottom of the cover. Slip the blade of a "junker" penknife or a utility knife it to pry it off.

It will likely bend the edge of a good knife so use something you don't want to keep nice.

Looks like the back cover did not make it through the operation. It is now toast!
