My brother-inlaw found this old whiskey bottle in the eves of a house he is roofing.
The lable reads:
Cedarhurst Pure
Whiskey
Thomas Ward & Co.
59 Fourth Ave. New York

This whiskey is matured in WOOD and bottled under our supervision.
It is absolutely pure and unadulterated.
Especially Recommended for medicinal purposes.

All corks and capsules bare our name.

This brnad, trade maek & label are registerd.

Guarnteed to conform with the pure food law.​

Know nothing about bottles, but it looks cool.

Maybe you should post this in the "Bottles" topic and see what someone can tell ya about it.

Didn't think you could distribute whiskey during prohibition??? Must be why it's for "medicinal purposes."

Anyone ever heard of the company?

Have several with a prescription label on them from prohibition era. That is the way they got around the ban.Seems to have been a big industry even then.
