I was at a friend's house a couple of days ago, while talking about the older days of the area, he tells me that his driveway used to be a road. His neighbor across the street was too. If you look at it on Google Earth, you can still see the old road. So I asked him if I could play in his yard, and he agreed. So I broke out my detector and started swinging. As I worked my way down the yard following the old road, I pulled up some newer trash as well as some older. As I got to the back of the yard, I got a deep hit. I almost didn't dig it. But it was deeper than everything else I had dug. About seven inches down I see the single end of the wrench. So I pulled it out and brushed it off. From what I have been able to find out, it seems to be an old implement wrench. Have not been able to figure out who made it and when. But, I will be back and he said he can get me on the neighbors too. It will be about a half mile section of the old road.

Thanks Mike. It was a short hunt. But well worth it. Now I have the itch again.
