Hey everyone! I had a super day with Nate (JuJu) today! Nate just got back from Georgia and I was itching to detect with him. I did not care where but I knew that I had to go detect with him. I then asked Nate if we could hunt the 1920's property that he has hunted the last few times and has found a 1935 tax token from Washington state and a 1961 silver rosie! He told me that he would call the owner and she said it was ok!

After school; I got in my car and headed home to grab my detector and then I was off! When I got there, Nate was nice enough to give me more tax tokens that I can put into my coin binder! :) He was telling me that there is definatly potential for silver coins there since he got one last time. Nate was also telling me not to get frusterated because there is trash everywhere. In 5 more minutes after talking we loaded everyone into the car plus detectors and went up to poulsbo! It was a long drive to say the least but I got to hear what Nate and Kel (his wife) did in Georgia. It was pretty cool to hear all the stories and jokes. Nate told me that he got permission to hunt a bunch of older sites from the 1700's. I was amazed!

When we got to the house, I started hunting in the area that Nate had already gone over and found his 1961 silver rosie. Well first hit was a nail..Go figure. The Second hit was much different! I got a corroded wheat penny! The front was really bad but I saved the back of the wheat penny a little bit. I yelled out to Nate "Whooohhoo! I got a wheatie!"

Nate was amazed! Second target I hit was another wheatie and I yelled, "I got another wheatie! WhooohooO!"

By this time Nate was talking to the owner who was watching me dig up his yard and filling the holes back in. Nate and the owner saw I got another hit and I dove my knife into the dirt and dug a hole. Seconds later I yell, "Third wheatie! Whoohooo!"

I noticed that this one was a 1928 wheatie that is the oldest one I have dug so far this year! :)

After walking a few feet I got another decent signal. I dug it and it turned out to be another wheatie! The fourth time I yelled, "I got another one!" this time I looked up at Nate and the owner and Nate flipped me off! Hahahah. He was happy for me but pissed off at the same time because he had not gotten a single wheat penny yet.

For the rest of the time all I got was modern coins and tons of trash.

Now for the pictures! :)

Good deal. I see you find a lot of "S" mintmark coins. That is the advantage to being on the West Coast. ;D Typically the "S" mintmark coins are worth more since fewer were made.
