On my second dive, I recovered a Cobalt, OP, Harrison's Columbian Inkwell

I am diving in a new spot that has given up an OP Keene Geometric Ink, an OP light green Umbrella Ink, a Clay Ink and now this OP Cobalt Harrison's Columbia Ink. This is my favorite Ink to date. I posted this in Todays finds, but I think it will be better received in this sub forum.

WOW, that's an awsome ink. You have a real good spot there.
Keep them comming...

Thats a killer ink. Great recovery congrats! jgas

The cobalt should get a grand. The pitkin should fetch a grand. They look good. Any cracks or chips??

The rarity, stunning sapphire cobalt color, crudity, whittling, bird's wing and overall shiny good shape of the cobalt might bring record price, the market is down, but not for good stuff. The Pitkin is extraordinary, and that is an understatement.

Nice batch of other goods too. The marbles are like sprinklings of glass joy. Outstanding post.

Do some good pics, all angles, both pieces. I want to see the bird's wing from the side if you could. I am beside myself with these pieces.

Hi gleaner1,

Thanks for the nice comments! The cobalt Harrison's is mint, the Pitkin/Keene Geometric has a hole in it but it is the only one like it I have ever recovered diving so it is good to go as a shelf candy for me. I also have a Stoddard 8-sided OP Umbrella that came from the same geographical area about 5 years ago but alas, it too is cracked but whole. I will post the better shots you requested tomorrow after the camera charges. I also took some group shots of the best inks to come from this area and will post those too.

Thanks again for looking!

Hey gleaner1, here are the photo's you requested.

Sorry I slipped up on the Keene pattern ink. I guess Pitkins look similar, but have swirls. riverdiver thanks for sharing those awesome pics and that dripped columbian is a great banner find. I vote banner on this one.

Hi gleaner1,

Thanks for the Banner vote but I think we are alone on our thoughts about this beautiful little ink.

Great find banner or not. The market is down, but if that killer sapphire Harrison's with a drip is free of chips, cracks, or any bad scratches, it surely would fetch 1000 beans minimum at auction, say Heckler's or any of the good glass auctions. That is one outstanding recovery, congrats:icon_thumleft:.
