I left the office at 1:00 this afternoon. You know I headed straight for the site that coughed up all of the silver coins last week. I could hardly wait to get there. I hunted for a little less than 4 hours, and was able to find 70 coins.

There were 14 wheaties. Where there is wheat, there should be silver, I consider them a good omen.

I found this ornate brass gas light knob. I put a wheatie in there for scale.

OK, here is the shiny stuff. Both coins were collocated with thrash, so waiting for a really good signal, would have netted me zero. Dig the repeatable signals gents.

This hole had a 1945 Washington in the bottom of it.

When I removed the dirt from this hole, it had a 1944 Mercury dime stuck to it.

I ended the day with these two silver coins.

I have gotten 15 silvers out of this site in 4 hunts. It’s not a small place. There should be some more to be found. I have the next 10 days off of work, so game on!

YTD silver coins: 75

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.

Yer KILLIN' it, Dude. Keep it up!

Dang you are cornering the silver market!!

You have ten days to dig every signal to see whats masking the goodies..

Ten days...I say there's at least ten more silvers there! One a day...do-able...Ddf.

Congratualtions! :occasion14:

Nice finds! In the next 10 days you might dig 30 more silver keepers! Good luck!

SUPER site Tom Congrats on 2 more silvers and a hand full of wheats. That valve piece is cool. Hope you kill it over the weekend brother.

Old Smittyman and I are going to give it a go tomorrow. Sure wish you were here. The site is nice, just hope it lasts. Best to you and the family during the holiday season.

You are so close to making 100 SILVERS for the year.
You think that site might hold 25 more silvers?
Congrats on a great run on the Silver and I hope you get to the 100 mark.

You're crushing the silver coins! Key is to find sites like you've got there. Way to go, keep the hammer down!

Wow Tom, I need to come down to Charlotte I'm thinking, lol. Nice finds!

Kudos!

Very happy for you, beautiful finds

I sincerely regret to differ with you sir.

The real “key” is my extremely well honed skill set sir!

It really is all about the spot. It’s tough to find spots like this one. I hope it continues.

I’m a little torn on this one. I thought the barrel tap valve was normally a little bigger and wider making it easier to turn as it’s on a much bigger barrel with lots of liquid. But I certainly haven’t found any of these so I’m just going off reference material in the past. I could be way off. But I like it and I’m guessing the designed ones are a bit harder to find. I hope you get to 88 silvers my man lol. Have a wonderful Christmas

Ha that’s funny. We were replying at the same time. The beauty of this site is that we all have some knowledge to add. Cru is right 99.88888888% of the time but I think you’re dead on with this ID Tom. Just goes to show we are all continuously learning

Cru is absolutely the man. I have the upmost respect for him.

I have seen these gas light valves before, the old ones are usually ornate.

Wishing you and yours the very best for the holiday season.
