I left the office at 1:00 this afternoon. You know I headed straight for the site that coughed up all of the silver coins last week. I could hardly wait to get there. I hunted for a little less than 4 hours, and was able to find 70 coins.

There were 14 wheaties. Where there is wheat, there should be silver, I consider them a good omen.

I found this ornate brass gas light knob. I put a wheatie in there for scale.

OK, here is the shiny stuff. Both coins were collocated with thrash, so waiting for a really good signal, would have netted me zero. Dig the repeatable signals gents.

This hole had a 1945 Washington in the bottom of it.

When I removed the dirt from this hole, it had a 1944 Mercury dime stuck to it.

I ended the day with these two silver coins.

I have gotten 15 silvers out of this site in 4 hunts. It’s not a small place. There should be some more to be found. I have the next 10 days off of work, so game on!

YTD silver coins: 75

Thanks for looking and good luck on your hunts.

Congratulations sir........very nice work, you'll need a small chest for all that silver !!

Look like you got yourself a silver honeyhole, dig on !!! can't wait till you post more silver coins

Love digging silver coins but, I really dig the old brass gas valve for it's vintage coolness! Nice hunt buddy. You are amassing an impressive chest of silver there. Keep it well hidden from those nasty revenuers!

I sincerely regret to differ with you sir.

Victorian era brass gas light “valve”. Here some pics from The net.

No worries I don't mind being wrong, I pulled the trigger fast before leaving the house this morning. The design would be up-side-down on a tap, but I'm assuming this gas valve was on the underneath, making the fleur-de-lue the correct way up? (not on the top like your photo)

silver king has struck again!

Very nice Tom. When digging that many coins it only be fitting that a couple be silver. To find any site with that many coins and to find silver with them is getting to be a rarity. Looking forward to some more post in the coming days. Wish you the best of luck and a Merry Christmas. SD

Nice. Your making me want to get out there and find some silver again soon! [emoji2][emoji106]

I appreciate your input.

Here is a wall scounce and an arm type fixture. Both feature downward facing valves, which as you pointed out, would correctly orient the fleur de lis.

Thanks Dave. I hope that you have a happy holiday season.

I’m very lucky to have a productive site to hunt.
