I have a type set with the following: 1852 F15, 1857 FEagle VF20, 1860 VF35, 1909 VDB XF40.

should i crack it open and sell them separately, or keep as a set? Approximate value is $185. D69EFF39-F62B-438E-B760-B70FC686C237.webp

As a coin collector and an eBay seller for 20 years, I think your estimate of the value is accurate for selling them separately. If they were graded, the would do better but the cost to grade might not make it worth the effort. Sold as a set, I think your high. Regardless, its a nice set of cents....

Separate 5 sales vs 1 sale, time.$185 value is based on 1 set or separated value?

Value is value....are they worth less as a set?

Why? I mean...what is your goal? My conservative advice...keep it for another 20 years or so. I get such great deals from impatient people!

If you break up the set and sell online do you get charged for each sale? if so you probably lose money, sold as a set a one time fee charged to you. Just how I would look at it.

I just checked out AVERAGE sold prices on Ebay for the coins - broken up they brought a total of about $130.00. I am not the one to ask about coin pricing!

Same % either way

The flying eagle and indian cent look to me as being cleaned. If that's the case, the value will be decreased.
