I headed out to a new site this morning and realized halfway there that I still had my house shoes on. Lucky for me that I keep an extra pair of shoes in the car, because this has happened to me before.

Any how, I arrived at the site, a 1947 house. I first pulled out my new Omega 8500 and right off found a 1952 Rosie dime. The Omega is hot on silver coins.

After working the entire front yard with the Omega, I decided to go back over the front yard again with my modded Tesoro Cibola µMax. I managed to get the Cibola's search coil over several nickels and one turned out to be a 1943 War Nickel. The Cibola µMax loves nickels and gold rings.

I put the Cibola back in the car and pulled out my F75DST and headed for the back yard. When I saw the old clothes line posts I headed straight for them. I made a few sweeps, got a nice audio tone and ID reading. I dug down and popped a shallow Standing Liberty Quarter. Happy me!

After almost completely grid searching the back yard, I finally got my coil over another good target. I knew it was silver before I even dug. I popped a 1957 Rosie Dime. Whoopee!

When I finished up with the back yard, I decided to go back over the front yard again with the F75DST using the 'boost' mode to see if I missed anything that might have been deeper.

Sure enough I cornered a 1909 Barber Dime that was deep and I think was on edge. This is getting too good, so I decided to call it a day after only 3 hours of detecting. Also I managed to find 12 wheat pennies and some modern coins. It was a warm beautiful sunshiny day.

Congratz on another silver filled hunt!

Nice hunt! Five silvers including an SLQ. Very well played, congrats.

Tabman, you are having an amazing 2016 season!....Over 50 silver!...That's insane!......

I have a question about your Fisher with DST....How sensitive is it to EMI? I am considering this detector along with the Makro Racer 2 which now has a Deep Mode and other new features.....The Fisher warranty is much better and my favorite detectors were the old Los Banos Fishers and I still use my CZ5...How accurate is the VID on deep targets?...Any info would help!...Thanks!

The F75DST handles EMI as well as any detector that I've used. It's not perfect but it works! Another thing that I like about the F75DST is its modulated audio response and how the numbers roll slowly in the silver range. I can pretty much call a silver coin, but I dig the coppers and clad dimes and quarters anyway. It's also hot on nickels. If I could only have one VDI screen detector, it would be the F75DST. With it and my Tesoro detectors I could kick butt in just about any situation that I ran into.

I agree with tabman about the F75. I don't find them as often as I like, but I can call a silver dime and a silver quarter when I do pass my coil over them.

tab man nice hall!

It's always good when you find something cool. I haven't been out to the local parks yet, but will give it a go very soon.

Excellent silver haul.
Congrats on a great hunt.

Now that's a comparison. Same skill level, same ground 3 different detectors. I get tired of U-tube where 2 guys with different skill levels using 2 different detectors do different ground and then want to say which detector is better.....

All that badmouthing the 8500 and you got another!?!!??! Oh Tabman, now I have to try one despite your specific, repeated advise not too! But I do love my 8000 version 4. That is one great hunt my friend. I would love to find that much silver in one hunt!.....AND I JUST REALIZED HOW THIS THREAD IS! lol at me
