One last check on my way back

I was walking back, done for the night, and decided to check around the base of a big oak tree since it was on the way.

Not worth anything, but I was really excited when I first found this about 8" deep and it sure looked and felt like gold when I first pulled it!

Thanks! Ya, I was a little surprised as to how deep it was. Maybe some kid playing in the past buried treasure...

I'll keep hunting, just got into detecting and think it is going to be a life long hobby for sure!
