Hi Rivernomad44, Not sure I want to jump into this but here goes. Your first pic is of an ancient "Axe/Digger" Tool, (Lack of a better word, an Archaic/Paleo Tomahawk) but the word Tomahawk only refers to Native American (Woodland Indians). And that was probably not made by them but made by a Paleo Indian? or before. I have at least 7 of the same tools with only slight variations. Mine also have the wear grooves on them which I think represents where they were "tied" onto a wooden/bone handle. Your next pic is also an Archaic Tool, I've found about 4 of those too. The next pic after that is what I call a "Club"...found many of those, all different variations. The pic of the 2 green crescent shaped rocks with the "hook" end are also a type of crescent/scraper. These "Tools" are probably Way older than recent Woodlands time and are possibly, quite probably 12,500 yrs BP-6,000-8,000 yrs BP. The pic of the green crescent on the right (laying flat in your hand) clearly shows a Bear Face carved into the "Hook" part. I have 6 of those same bear faces on various "Hooked" "rocks"...Try to figure out at what Depth your finds are. I'm finding Loads of the Ancient Tools on our family farm. My Gr-Grandfather settled our farm in 1830 and has been farmed every single year for the past 182 years. The erosion that has taken place equates to approximately 6-10 feet and is why I'm finding only super old, Paleo tools in the fields. Of course finding "newer" Woodland finds in our woods and creek areas. By all means if one is only interested in the "pretty Native American" Tools, then go ahead and Kick those 12,000 year old rocks aside. While you're at it, be sure to kick aside any potential meteors and even rough diamonds. Just being a bit sarcastic now, but seriously, the more you learn whats under the ground, the more Cool things you're gonna find!...Love the pics and Thanks for sharing!!
