photo-709.webp this big guy was hit and killed where I work. The car was also a total wreck !! They are endangered so it was sad to see a big breeder go like that. Hyundi versus crocodile was a pretty even match !!

photo-708.webp this guy likes to lurk around the boat at night. Dont fall in !!

Man photos like this make me remember why I love the north.....

I like the alligator proof snow!

look at the size of those choppers

Poor little guy... he just needed a hug and a spin.

Thats up at ocean reef steve, right in the middle of the main marina. As you know this is croc country. They are kinda shy, but I dont trust them. Some prehistoric switch in my brain says GET OUT OF THERE !! Thank you for the kind pm.

Back in the day you would seldom see them outside of N. key Largo, heard they are showing up further south these days.

How many pairs of boots could come out of that hide , I hope he doesn't go to waste....

FWC carries them off for science. FWC is fish and wildlife conservation commission. One of many law enforcement agencies working here in the keys. They will take samples and disect him and study him. They are highly monitored and protected !! They are tagged and tracked, the nests are monitored and the babies checked. Its pretty incredible how they have made a great comback. They are an endangered species but there are so many now that they come around the marina and get run over on the road. They love the blacktop at night this time of year. Nice and warm. There hide is nicer than alligator I think, its brown with some green. Boots would be incredible.
