I had less than an hour to hunt so I went to one of my local hunted out places. I saw someone took a brush hog to a part of the land that I had never hunted. Just as I had to get ready to leave I got a really nice signal but I was not expecting silver. This is the nicest one I ever found.

Edit: okay I got the picture to load scroll down to see it. It is an 1883 seated dime by the way!

OK, from your enthusiasm I'm sure it is really nice piece of silver. Can't see it though and no description. Pic?

I'll try loading the picture again not sure why it didn't work

Wow, that one is in great condition. Way to go.

That is a beauty!

Yeah , I'd have had to sit down before I fell down- if I found that little gem ! Nice .... (love to see a few more pics !)

Killer find in Great shape! Congrats

-Happy Hunting!

Thanks everybody. I took a ton of pictures but none came out but this one that's why I am holding it to get just the correct angle there is so much glare it is actually still a shiny coin. The back is still packed with clay it'll be awhile before I try to clean it by soaking it in water. This has been the best site I ever hunted it was a campground in the 1800's. Definitely not a military campground I have found at least 20 or 30 coins from the 1800's over two seasons of hunting. Yet I have never found a single button of any kind... weird. What I love best about the place is the sandy soil the Indian heads come out perfect. I even found a flying eagle cent with no corrosion if you can believe that! One of these days I'm going to have to make a compilation post of all the coins I have found there. The only real relic I found was an old puter pocket knife with a hunting dog on the side I researched it and it used to actually have a dog whistle on the end of it but that part was gone and has been smoothed over by the previous owner. This was truly a dream site as far as metal detecting I once found 9 Indian heads in a single pass across the one acre lot. Most of the Indians have been in the 1870s so I am hoping for the '77 someday. That's what actually drew me back to this hammered site I know the '77 is in there somewhere.

WOW!! That one barely made it out of the bank! Congrat's!

She's a beauty! Congrats!

now that is one sweet coin! congrats

Thanks everyone for all the replies. Bow season has started for deer and now I'm going to have to wait till after hunting season to hit this place again its going to be a long wait there was a bunch of other signals around that dime. My mind is racing with the possibilities, something to look forward to I guess
