Was visiting one on the parks I hunt in Montreal and found this little beauty under 3 inches of soil. The sun was out and it comfortable, temperature was around 65 degrees. The ground is filled with trash, many old bottles top from the turn of the century (I'll post pictures of them in my next visit). The dime was mixed with trash but the Delta picked it, but I had to be in All Metal 2 to isolate the piece, then switched to discrimination to confirm. Since I lost my pinpointer last autumn in a field (don't remember which one :BangHead:), so it was a bit hard to find, those dimes are so small. My find is a "narrow leaves" variety, the ones with large leaves are most valuable. I spare you the usual pile, many pulltabs, a key, a marble and some kind of an old brass swivel that went on a trunk. Thanks for reading.

looks like a keeper! congrats on the silver

Nice job on the silver.

Thanks guys, the next coin on my wish list would be a 50 cents, but i'll take anything if it's old silver.

Nice silver find! :occasion14:

Thanks Professor of Engineering, One per week-end would make a very good year for me. HH!

Looks to have exceptional detail. Very nice

Thanks ScubaDetector, the ground was gentle with this coin but being made of 92,5 silver must help somehow. Is it the same with silver coins underwater?

Wow that's a beauty. Looks like it's in excellent condition too. Way to go!

Thanks JerseyDigger19, they seem as small as your barber dimes and the averse looks somehow similar. Very surprised it has no nicks or marks, it was a shallow find. Going back tomorrow can't wait. HH!

Nice find. I found one of those (1935) here in Pennsylvania.
