My wife and I would very much like to personally thank each and everyone of you who sent us well wishes and said a prayer for us on the death of our son David. We are only now starting to get back into the world of the living. We are getting to the range of feelings that we can now control our emotions a little. He was our only son, and will be missed greatly.

Again, thank you one and all for everything that you did or said.

Larry & Linda

Larry and Linda, Im sorry I wasnt aware of your sons passing.
Im so sorry for your loss.
I almost lost both of my kids when they were very very tiny due to them choking.
Fortunately their mother was an Reg. Nurse, and I was an EMT and we both did this type of thing on a daily basis.
I cant imagine loosing a child and my heart goes out to you both.
If I can be of any help to either of you feel free to contact me anytime.
Mike

Larry and Linda, I am so sorry for your loss. May God wrap you both tightly in His arms as you journey down this road of sorrow. You both will be in my prayers.

Thanks you very much for your kinds words. I've lost family members before, but never one of my children. The pains are definately very different than a parent or aunt/uncle. We will get thru it, but it's going to take time.

Dear Larry and Linda,

My deepest heartfelt sympathy to you and yours. I have traveled the same path you are traveling. We lost our 18 year old son to a traffic accident in Blue Springs, MO on March 4th of this year. A Senior at Blue Springs High School, a scholarship to UMKC in debate. A great head on his shoulders, his whole life ahead of him. Everyday brings new challenges. Only some one who has suffered this loss can understand what you are going through. Some people will say nothing because they do not know what to say. Some days the silence you hear is deafening. Other days, those that truly care will genuinely ask how you are doing. It has been a long seven months.

The sun has risen each day since, friends and support still abound. Please use them. I still have a broken heart and probably will for years to come. Only time has eased the pain just a little bit. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Bob,

We are deeply sorry for your loss too. It is very hard to explain to someone who hasn't lost a child, how deep the hurt goes. It is much different than losing a parent or some other relative. We were blessed in that we had him for 10 years longer than we had any right to. He had had brain tumor surgery back in 1999, and they weren't able to get it all. He recovered from that surgery, went back and graduated from college, but was never able to really get a good paying job, as no one would hire him because of his condition. The tumor came back, and they went back in in April and took it out. We had been taking care of him since that time. Blood clots are what eventually got him, caused by the surgery. But, without the surgery, he would not have had any chance at all. Right now, his death is an open sore. I'm sure that as time goes along, we will be able to come to grips with it, but right now, it's just been too soon.

I'm sorry to hear about your son, and definately can understand what you are currently going thru. God has a reason for everything, even if we don't understand it.

God bless and thank you.
